Hey guys I have had few teams contact me asking to use my logo on their jerseys for the 2009 season. It is a pain in the butt to email the huge file so I am going to link it here for anyone that wants to rep the logo and show their support for what I do.

Link to download logo .JPG file .PSD file .EPS file (this is the one the jersey company's like) - thanks in advance Michael

I got the chance to play at one of the best fields in the country. This field will be hosting the USPL DC event in August and the fields are amazing. The entire Pev's staff was amazing the whole weekend! I got to meet a bunch of players and made plenty of new friends. This weekend also happened to be the 1 year anniversary of the field being open. I drove almost 9 hours to this field to play, and flew half way across the country as well.

Thanks so much to all the players, and staff working at Pev's for making my weekend one I won't forget.

Today was Event 1 at All Out Paintball in New Haven Ct. It was a
blast! The refs were very good and also really cool. The owner
maintains a very well kept field and is very laid back. The tournament
ran very smoothly with one, one hour lunch break and one 15 minute
break before finals. The people there are great. I cannot wait to go
back to shoot event 2.

I had a amazing time at All Out Paintball and
I'm sure everyone else did to.

Going back to ASG for only my second time gave me a great day of photography. Both fields were up and running, clean and ready to go. Today however, a new aspect of paintball arose, the terrible scorching heat, and as Mike predicted, last weeks SCPL, seems to be the last of the cool weather. Which means summer here we come!

I think that there were only four teams there to practice, and despite the hot weather everyone had a great day of play. Also, a lot of respect to those involved in taking care of the fields, I was amazed at how well the fields are maintained. Great job guys!

Thanks,

Jacob

I have been taking photos of the Adrenaline Force Tournament Series for almost as long as I have been taking paintball pictures. For that reason the AFTS will always have a special place in my heart and I am truly glad that Randy brought it back this year.

What do I remember of the days when I was first cutting my teeth behind the camera? Well I remember the 100 plus degree temperatures along with great teams like LTZ, Aftermath and Hostile Kids playing some of the best games I have ever seen. Well that was at the old Redlands Paintball Park my old home field and today it is being held at ASG my new home field.

This year has been tough for most of the SoCal tournament promoters and the AFTS is probably taking it the hardest of the bunch. I remember the last event at Redlands with 50 plus teams and a nice size vendor row, it was nothing short of amazing. Like I said this year is tough and the third event for Randy and his AFTS took a major blow as only seven 3-man teams even signed up (the standard 5-man format did not draw enough teams).

Three years ago I could see something like this happening to a series that sucked but today every local event has been better and better for all of the leagues. Look at the beginning of the season I told all of the promoters if they threw a crappy event I would call it like it was. The real kicker is no one has threw a bad event Rand and the AFTS included. Maybe this event was just to closely timed to the last event or maybe it was the fact that the 3/5 – man teams have moved on to play a league offering the 7-man format. I can tell you that it was not because Randy put on a bad event.

Where have the rookie teams gone? We all should worry people because that is where the teams that are going to keep our sport alive.

Ok I have been talking about doing something like this for a long time. Now that there are a few more photogs here at Chrono300 it is starting to come alive. Look this is the first release and a rough one but our goal is to do this once a month, let us know what you think.

A little grey today while I was still a bit under the weather but that did not make the day any less fun at SC Village in Corona California. Look I don't make it a secret I am a huge fan of the seven man format but that does not mean that I do not enjoy a little five man and ramping fun from time to time.

The SCPL have been around for several years (infact I think I was there from the begining), it has never been a huge event but what it has been is an event full of fun. Today was not only a great event, it was the best one they have thrown to date. Not only did it run on time (crap did I just write an event ran on time??!) it ran smooth with almost no drama at all. To top that off the reffing was top notch in fact I would say it was almost as good as the reffing on an NXL field.

Take a look at the SCPL web site for placings and event info for the remainder of the 09 season. It is great to see that the 5 man format is still alive and kicking in SoCal.

Jacob hit the field twice this week with the last day being at Warped Sports in Castaic California (his home field) to shoot a practice. I look forward to seeing this kids work grow (being that he started this year that is a scary thought!). If you see Jacob on the field let him know you like his work and to keep it up.

We will both be at SC Village this Saturday to shoot the SCPL to shoot some five man.

I would like to welcome our newest photographer to join the Chrono300 club Jacob. Jacob is based out of the SoCal area and will be helping me cover all of the events in the area. Keep an eye out for more great paintball photos by Jacob and the rest of the Chrono300 team.

Day 2 continued here in San Marcos at Maximum Paintball. Both teams got well needed rest from the blistering hot day before. The heat today was just as hot as Saturday. Regardless of the tempature both teams grinded it out all day long to finish a little early. Special thanks to Alex Martinez, and the rest of the staff at Maximum!

I have never understood the true reason for throwing an affiliate. I guess it is to raise the awareness of you series. But then again does it really matter, it is a Hinman tournament after all?

Look I am not going to hype this up like it was a 100 team event, the fact is only 15 team came to show their skill. Sure the prize for winning was not 6 grand but come on times must be tough for everyone these days.

I am going to keep this short, the event was held at one of the best practice fields in Southern California. Add to that Hinman took the turf from SC Village from WCPPL events 1 and 2 and placed it as the second field at ASG. Stir that together and sprinkle in a little Hinman magic along with some great weather suplied by the man upstairs and presto you have a great event.

Great weather for two professional teams to start a two day scrimmage. Maximum paintball in San Marcos, Texas hosted this event which is home to X-Factor. Both teams were playing the Chicago layout in preparation for the upcoming PSP event. As the games began to heat up so did the temperature. Dynasty and X-Factor played game after game in the heat. They began around 10 the first day and ran late in the day. Day one of two is now over. Both teams will pick up on Sunday where they left off today.

Today I made the pleasant drive to Grapevine Texas to visit X-drenaline Zone Paintball Park. It was a hot day of street ball that lead to lots of fun. I got to hangout with the Demo Kids, UGK, and some of the Amped guys and snap some pictures of them on and off the field. They all seemed eager to practice on the Chicago Layout that played out very fast for these teams today. Even though it was hot, these teams tussled on the field while a crowd of new comers watched from outside of the nets.

Thank you Demo Kids, UGK, Amped and X-drenaline Zone

So today I headed out to Champion Paintball in Poughkeepsie New York. This has been my home field for a while and Bill (Field/Store owner) runs it very well. The compressor broke down but games still ran smoothly. Although people were playing on roughly 2500-3000 PSI all day, there were no problems. Weather was very nice and the players had fun as usual.

Thanks!

Each and every day the paintball world changes, a team falls apart one day while the next a new team is formed. Well those teams need a place to to get tournament experience before stepping on to a major tournament series and the Riot Series give teams just that chance.

With Beginner Five Man, D-4 and D-3 the Riot Series is sowing the seeds for tomorrows top players in the Seven Man Format. Being that there are only three divisions each and every year brings in new faces and tomorrows players look to be shaping up great.

I almost feel like today's players are spoiled to the core. There are fields almost every 30 miles in california and a good field is not measured by how small the rocks are on the field or the lacking of gopher holes. No here in California it is measured by turf, if you can get a 4000 fill at the station or a 4500 fill at the station, or if the field is perfectly flat. Man if these kids saw some of the nasty fields we thought where great just five years ago.

Warped Sports is not the flattest field in the world or a field know to have tons of teams waiting in line just to practice. But it is ran by one of the most caring field owners in paintball, Glen Forester . Ok the

name should sound failure he is the owner of the Legend paintball marker or maybe the fact the he was the coach of a divisional champion paintball team The Splat Kids. But few people remember the guy actually played on a champion team that everyone has heard of Dynasty. I don't think I have ever seen the guy sit or stand still for more than 30 seconds.

What I am trying to get at is what makes a great field? The one answer I keeping coming up with is a field owner that cares. Take one trip out to the field in Castic located in a place you would never expect to field a field and you will find just that.

So what does all that sugar talk about a field ran by a guy that cares? I guess it is summed up by something small. If a field is nice a kept up, it does not matter if it is raining or nice and clear people will have a better experience at the field. With that you bring a smooth ran tournament series and you have ingredients for a great event.

The event promoters Marco and Erin along with Glen threw a great event. In times like today there are less teams than in years that this sport and the seven man format in particular that we need series like the Riot.

A big thanks to all the players at the event for giving me such a fun event to shoot.

Michael

Returning to the Riot Series was a pleasure today after missing the second event up in San Jose (a bit out of my reach). The third stop of the series is being held a few miles north of Magic Mountain right between the 5 Freeway (that's right between the 5 North and the 5 South) at Warped Sports in Castic California.

My main memories of Warped Sports has always been involving the Riot Series have been hot...real hot, as in 100 plus degrees. Well day one of this stop of the series was the exact opposite, nice cool with on again off again rain (I guess it rains time to time in SoCal).

In this gallery you will find photos from day one of the 5-Man pump (open) and 5-Man Beginner divisions. I am going to be headed back tomorrow to shoot the remainder of the event so keep an eye out tomorrow night for the second part of the event (along with a story).
